The deeper you ground, the stronger your roots, for they grow deep into the heart of your soul, spread wide into the memories of lifetimes, and bring light of life into the dark recesses of your memories.
And so, in storm or peace, you leap.
And so, from space to time, you soar.
Many years ago, during a hurricane – Katrina or Wilma – I was watching the storm, safe from the house, and I saw what seemed like a huge bush being blown this way and that by the hurricane winds. Surprised, because there was no bush in that part of the garden, I moved to another room and saw it was the full grown gumbo-limbo tree being tossed by the hurricane winds as if it was a small bush.
When the winds passed, a dedicated gardener, a willing truck, a strong rope and the dream in my heart helped to pull it upright, and prop it up with logs.
Many years later, it is still standing. I call it my miracle tree. It showed me the power of cocreation. What does this story show you?
